About me
Hello! I'm Katie
I'm just a third year college student with a passion for all things health and fitness. My love for taking care of the body as naturally as possible has inspired me to study nutrition and reach out to as many people as I'm fortunate to. Thanks for stopping by my blog and if you'd like to know more keep reading on, happy browsing!
I feel my "why I started this lifestyle" story is extremely long and frankly not even that interesting. I struggled with two main things as a teenager: the fact that I had costochondritis which made me afraid of physical activity, and that I had lost my Dad very young. I was driven to improve my cardiovascular strength in order to combat my costochondritis episodes which made me curious about other types of exercising. While at the same time, I was inspired by my Dad to learn about nutrition to treat disease naturally. So here I am now, a self-taught fitness enthusiast, and third year Nutrition major in college.
My fitness journey transitioned from me mindlessly doing anything at the gym to taking on Kayla Itsines' "Bikini Body Guides" for about 2 years. I gained an unbelievable amount of confidence and felt like a completely new person within a year of consistency. I'm blessed to be where I am now with seemingly unreal opportunities. I'm humbled that you want to follow my journey and are hopefully able to take away something from what I share.
xo, Katie
